The Foundation's Goal is to help as many domestic animals whose medical needs are so extensive that they would otherwise be "euthanized" if funding was not available. How The Phoebe Foundation Works: 1. The Foundation does not discriminate against any type of domestic "pet". You do not have to have rescued your pet from a shelter or the street. All pets will be considered equally regardless of where they came from. 2. The Foundation does not discriminate against any "pet" owner. You do not have to be on the brink of bankruptcy to receive our help. You just need to show that providing your pet with the necessary medical care would create a financial burden or hardship for you. 3. Since the Foundation is just getting started, financial assistance will be determined upon the available funds we have at the time. 4. The Board of Directors is comprised of avid pet lovers who have experience rescuing domestic animals and have encountered extensive vet bills in the process. We are a lawyer, a paralegal, a dentist and a dental hygienist. Decisions on which cases we feel we can help will be based on our experience as pet owners and lovers where applicable. If the medical problem is beyond our area of understanding, we will consult with a veterinary doctor as to how to best proceed. 5.
